At Somewhere Good, we empower people to express themselves, connect with one another, learn about the world and have fun together. We created these Community Guidelines to support our mission by encouraging the broadest range of self-expression while making sure everyone can use our platform safely every day.
First and foremost, we believe in a culture of care and we center both our internal and external behavior around these four tenets:
We've done our best below, and in our Terms of Service, to set out specific rules for what we allow on Somewhere Good, but it's hard to anticipate every situation that might come up.
The key is the spirit of these rules: we want Somewhere Good to be a safe, joyful and positive experience for everyone. We reserve the right to decide, in collaboration with you, what content violates that spirit and will not be permitted on the platform. We may take a number of steps, including sending a warning, removing the content, reaching out to verbally connect with you or blocking the account(s) responsible.
Respect and Good Intent Respect is very important for Somewhere Good and will allow us to build a great community worldwide. We ask that everyone move and interact from a place of good intent, while also understanding that intent does not always equate to impact. We prohibit bullying or harassment of any kind — full-stop.
• Never threaten or intimidate other users. Always practice respect and care. • Never harass, bully or spam other users. • Don’t share content which is sexist, racist, transphobic or discriminatory in any way.
Impersonation and Deceptive Practices
We prohibit spreading false information that causes harm or is malicious, such as denying the existence of tragic events, unsubstantiated medical claims or undermining the integrity of civic processes.
****• Don’t use a false birthdate. • Never impersonate or pretend to be someone else. • Accounts can only belong to one person. Sharing Somewhere Good accounts is not acceptable.
Violence and Harm We believe the following guidelines help to achieve and promote a caring and more friendly experience.
• You shouldn’t share content that involves sexual violence or assault. • Don’t show content that is gory or has graphic injuries. • Don’t share content that promotes violence.
Advertisement and Scams Somewhere Good doesn't allow any advertisement of products or services, scams, or malicious conduct.
